Raven Studios is working to link the many and varied arts organisations and artist groups in Shrewsbury and Shropshire, and to provide a place where they can be listed, alongside our Artscape map of visual arts venues in the county.

The organisations below are community focussed, being municipal, charities, CICs, community-led groups, etc.

  • ArtShack, Atcham, Shrewsbury SY4 4TQ. ArtShack is a community arts organisation based in the rural hamlet of Berwick Wharf, Shrewsbury, offering a non-judgmental and friendly creative atmosphere. ArtShack participants can attend regular get creative sessions (every Monday & Wednesday) under the guidance of highly experienced artists/teachers and also participate in specialist workshops. https://www.myartshack.co.uk

  • Bear Steps Gallery, 2 St Alkmonds Place, Shrewsbury SY1 1UJ.   • Belle Vue Arts Festival, Belle Vue, Shrewsbury.   • Gateway Gallery, The Gateway Centre, Chester St, Shrewsbury SY1 1NB. The Gateway Gallery is a purpose built exhibition space and art gallery in the heart of Shrewsbury.   • The Photospace, Quality Square, Ludlow SY8 1AR. We use the Joy of Photography - creative image-making in a fun, non-technical way - to help people with difficulties in their lives.   • Theatre Severn Gallery, Frankwell Quay, Shrewsbury SY3 8FT. The exhibition space is located on the top floor of the theatre.   • Willow Gallery, 56 Willow St, Oswestry SY11 1AD. The Willow Gallery is a contemporary art space dedicated to displaying works from both local and national artists. A hub for creativity the Willow is a Community Interest not-for-profit gallery, converted from a disused car showroom.
