Jacqui is an artist working in paint and printmaking, a member of Birmingham Printmakers and the Regional Print Centre, Wrexham. Here’s a few words from Jacqui about her work:

“My practice revolves around memories of places visited and the objects within them. Images and feelings of these spaces are retraced to create an essence in print and painting. Colour is important and I juxtapose resonating colours to alter the mood of the work. I also create blind embossings, devoid of colour, requiring closer inspection and leaving subtle, visual contrasts in the paper.

I have exhibited ‘Reveal, Conceal’, a collection of screen prints inspired by the Jewellery Quarter at BPN Architects in Birmingham, was involved in a collaborative art project funded by Arts Council England marking the end of the First World War and have had my work on exhibition in the Mostyn Gallery in their Colour Showcase Exhibition. Some of my prints have been in Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery, Shropshire and have been part of a touring exhibition of a ‘Cabinet of Curiosity’ in Shropshire and North Wales, partly funded by Arts Council England.”
