Raven Studios Creative Community Bursaries 2020

Raven Studios is pleased to announce we have funding available to support one bursary per month for Shropshire-based creatives from September 2020-February 2021. For six months we will award one bursary of up to £250 to a local creative to support projects and the making of new work. 

We are particularly interested in funding ideas that…

• support your growth as a creative
• engage with environmental issues
• are socially relevant
• engage people in some way - a specific group, the public or other creatives
• are from young creatives or recent graduates

This funding could be used to create new work, materials, R&D, or to produce things like books, films and prints. Our definition of a ‘creative’ includes artists, designers, writers, sculptors, dancers, musicians, makers and poets - people from any discipline may apply. 

HOW TO APPLY: 

Please send a one-page application to ravenstudios.shrewsbury@gmail.com for the bursary including the following information:

• what you’d like to use the money for
• how much you’re applying for (up to £250)
• how you might engage people with what you’re doing
• details of how you’ll share your work with us

These bursary applications are rolling and we will select projects/work we’d like to fund each month from applications sent in. Please don’t be disappointed if your application is unsuccessful as we only have a small number of bursaries to hand out. If not selected we’ll keep your details on file for future opportunities and hope you’ll take part in some of our studio activities. 

If we are able to support your project, we’ll need you to document your work somehow (film, photographs, blog posts) and share it with us to put on our website. We will also send you our logos and links to use on any associated materials.
